Today thousands horded in the famous assembly point for political movements, Victoria Park, to demonstrate anti-Japanese sentiments. People from all ages, religions, nationalities and industries join hands to voice out a strong message against Japanese militarism, as individuals. As Hong Kong ties itself more closely to the motherland, its citizens are feeling more proud of their roles that allowed in such activities as members of a sovereign society. Clearer identity of being a Chinese is tinkering strong patriotism. When other major cities hit headlines, Hong Kong surely doesn't want be a just follower. I think one of the speakers' message today makes quite a bit sense: the garnered textbooks is only taught in less than 1% of Japanese schools now and we know that boycott against products like Toyota may in turn take its tolls on our economy hence unpractical, we should rather conduct our demontrations in a manner that's peaceful and rational. Such would set a good example of a civilized society to other Chinese cities. It seems that Hong Kong has finally found its role somehow, that is to be well-integrated into China but also leads the whole process of molding the underdeveloped motherland into a full-fledged modern, democratic society. I feel proud of our people and of my country, indeed.

People keep going, bad events keep happening and my mood keeps declining. It seems that life to me has struck to its bottom, hope so, and is gonna have a major rebound. In the wave of all these unsettling occurences, what's worse, I've overlooked something which is more important to me. Must catch it up and recoup all what I have now to face a tomorrow anew, be it better or worse.

To everyone in bewilderment that I care,

Sometimes, waiting works. In Chinese, it's called deng dai, meaning not only waiting without doing anything, but also anticipating ("dai"), a fairly positive gesture, I deem. Mismatch between personal demand and group supply, or vice versa, is a constant by-product of this dynamic and properous society. Acting anxiously and irrationally at times of such mismatch is unwise because it can only be filled with another right timing or someone's right attention (typically in China). Why not put aside the matter, assuming the worse case is gonna happen, and shift oneself to other causes that allow for deeper room to contemplation and solution? It works for career, love, friendship and wealth, believe it or not.

Once again Reagan's remarks we have every right to dream heroic dreams occurs to me. In our times, individual dynasties prove to be brittle to sustain social changes and industrial dynamics. To maintain a stable foothold in where we stand and to attain personal goals, one has to keep positive attitude at work, always. That means no indignation, not to mention regurgitating criticisms at work, no obsession with frustrations. Be alert of further, greater and nobler cause. Recoup the packages and walk towards it. Such spirit of toughness, tenacity and perservance is universally embodied in nearly every great man that our world pays tributes to, countless to name. With commercialization and monetarization brimming every corner of this planet, it's ever more critical to have that spirit. I'm not a loser but a fighter. Let the whole lot of no-minds mock at me and I'll stay firm at all times.
